  What is a stent?

Non-Vascular Stenting is the use of devices (stents) to create an artificial pathway, support structure, or opening for hollow lumen organs that are closed or obstructed due to cancerous lesions or benign disease.

Non-Vascular Stenting includes, but is not limited to, the treatment of obstructions in the lungs, esophagus, enteral (colon & duodenal), and biliary areas.

Stenting has been used in the circulatory system for years and the majority of people are familiar with coronary and vascular stenting.

Alveolus is focused on the rapidly emerging market for Non-Vascular Stenting. Alveolus is leveraging its patent, patent pending, and manufacturing process technology and relationships to design and develop stenting products for Interventional Pulmonologist, Gastroenterologists, and Interventional Radiologist for use in the lungs (trachea/bronchus) esophagus, enteral (colon and duodenum), and biliary areas.
